Who are you?
Reporting to Chief Marketing Officer you will provide vision and leadership in driving marketing efficiency through data analysis, rigorous truth-seeking and actionable synthesis. In addition to delivering insights on existing marketing initiatives, successful leaders will come up with innovative growth opportunities based on insights and create momentum behind them through powerful storytelling.
 
We are seeking a leader with a strong background and experience in quantitative analysis and data mining, who is able to clearly articulate complex ideas into clear, actionable recommendations which can be easily understood and utilised by the entire organisation. Successful candidates will have experience leading a team of talented analysts to achieve their full potential.
 

Responsibilities:
  • Define the structures and resources required to put the customer’s voice at the center of finder.
  • Use consumer research and internal data to gain a better understanding of customer behaviors, including impacts of current marketing strategies.
  • Build frameworks, processes and roadmaps for research and testing.
  • Lead end-to-end qualitative, quantitative and data analytics market research initiatives.
  • As leader of the Analytics team, cultivate the talented individual contributors on your team to grow their own analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Assume the role of analytics lieutenant for the CMO: proactively informing the CMO and her direct reports of emerging trends, state of the business from the customer behavior perspective and our competitive status—where we’re winning, losing, etc.
  • Support the marketing team in creating multi-channel marketing strategies for new and existing verticals; including the development of customer segmentation, marketing & targeting, as well as the evaluation of new data sources and advanced data processing technologies.
  • Ensure consistent tracking, analysis, and reporting of core website and marketing channel KPIs in weekly dashboards.
  • Analyse and report on the effectiveness of marketing channels and programs
  • Continual deep dive analysis into marketing performance by marketing channel and surface recommendations for improvement and testing.
  • Partner closely with the Data Science team to maximise multi-touch attribution modeling across marketing channels.

Skills & Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in insights & analytics and developing data-driven marketing programs.
  • Strong technical and quantitative background with a Masters degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering.
  • A proven track record of taking customer/market research and working with marketing teams to implement.
  • Strong experience in survey design, and building structural processes to implement these into business rhythms
  • Proven and demonstrated ability in building and mentoring high-performance analytics teams.
  • Power user of Google Analytics, Tableau, Excel, Snowplow, SQL and other BI tools
  • Ability to analyse and synthesize large and complex data sets down to key takeaways
  • Expertise with multivariate statistical analysis methods, including the suite Linear Regression variants.
  • A dedicated change agent who coaches and leads the marketing team towards a data-driven marketing organisation testing new strategies & learning from insights to help the business drive decisions throughout the customer decision journey.
  • Strong communication skills and experience distilling and presenting complex quantitative analysis into action-oriented recommendations.
  • Intellectual curiosity, passion for problem-solving, and able to challenge the status quo.
  • High energy and a desire to work in an action-oriented, fast growth environment.
  • Basic understanding of SEO and UX principles, marketing attribution and multivariate testing is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools, including Tableau, an advantage.
