Your new company

Working with a Federal Government agency with its National Headquarters in Geelong, we are currently looking to appoint an Assistant Director, Growth and Innovation for an initial 12 month contract with a possible 1 year extension.

Your new role
Situated in the Market Provider and Sector Development Branch you will, in conjunction with the Director, develop and implement the organisation’s strategic program of work aimed at ensuring contemporary practice and innovation thrive. You will;

• Lead and develop communication and engagement plans with a focus on tailored information and dissemination solutions
• Research and collate relevant qualitative and quantitative information, identifying strategic and tactical opportunities
• Manage and report on the program of work utilising strong project management methodology
• Create and prepare a variety of communication materials and resources relevant to the promotion and enablement of innovation in the services delivered
• Represent the organisation in discussions with other government agencies and stakeholders in relation to the vision of the overall market & sector

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in these roles, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Demonstrated experience of market analysis, segmentation and product development
• Strong commercial acumen
• Demonstrated capacity to lead and develop communication and engagement plans
• Refined decision making skills with the ability to analyse complex information from a range of different sources
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence to deliver significant outcomes for a wide range internal and external stakeholders
• Strong research and report writing skills
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency

Previous experience in providing strategic advice to Government, Health, Banking, Insurance and other public sector projects would be highly regarded.
