You work hard and know what you need to do to lead a team towards achieving the company and that individual's goals.

You understand the intent of the user. You can empathise with how users would feel and have a strong idea around what they want and can build pages that perfectly deliver to this. You know this is something that you might not hit from the very beginning but you are committed to constant self-improvement. You love pages that squarely solve core user problems and drive revenue for the business, a positive experience for the user and the company.

The Role:
As a publisher at finder.com.au, your core focus is generating high quality and relevant non-paid traffic (organic search engine traffic, content marketing traffic, direct traffic, referral traffic and all other ways to get inbound traffic) for product comparisons that convert into referrals for our partners. You will be expected to have a thorough understanding and demonstrated experience in content creation and improvement, SEO, CRO, ideas generation and other aspects of digital marketing. While your work will vary every day, your ultimate goal is to make finder the number one destination for Australians looking to compare home loan products and services.

Requirements:
  • Your work will differ from day-to-day, but your prime responsibility is to build traffic, optimise pages for our users and to build quality traffic for our partners.
  • The publisher is responsible for not only generating traffic, revenue and referrals but taking complete ownership of these numbers.
  • Work with the editors/writers to build out authoritative and in-depth guides that rank highly in search engines, deliver on user intent for the page, drive comparisons and ultimately clicks to our partners on the website.
  • Innovate new and creative ways to drive inbound traffic into the finder website and ultimately grow more referrals to our partners.
  • Work with the content marketing team and PR team to develop innovative new traffic streams and more referrals
  • The publisher is also responsible for leading the team and ensuring everyone works collaboratively to build new content and improve existing content for finder.com.au to drive more non-paid traffic into the website.
Skills & Experience
  • You have an in-depth knowledge of the Australian Home Loan landscape. Prior experience in the industry is a plus.
  • A few years of experience in a role that grows website traffic.
  • You have an intrapreneurial mindset and are constantly looking for opportunities to grow websites and you love to hustle to hit growth targets and projections.
  • The ability to develop content that could be used for content marketing, PR or outside-the-box campaigns.
  • Conversion rate optimisation - you know the importance of copy and how to get people to take an action from a page. You love headlines and the power of them!
  • You understand how to undertake keyword research and apply the data to content strategy, your long tail game should be on-point.
  • Ensuring the products displayed match the user intent and optimise commercial partnerships by working closely with our client services team.
  • You continually improve our comparison engine and content design for optimised user experience.
  • You must have a superior eye for detail. We take data compliance very seriously and we expect you will too.
  • You enjoy the challenge of going up against tough competition and winning, they probably have been in the market longer and have bigger teams, but you're confident your strategies and tactics will beat them in the medium to long-term. Or you will come up with strategies to win!
