The opportunity: Assistant Brand Manager - English & Mandarin Speaking

As assistant Brand Manager you will assist with planning and implementing strategic brand plans and campaigns for the Australia export and China markets.Working cross functionally and partnering with key external stakeholders you lead consumer engagement through social content, campaigns, conferences, expos and sponsorships ensuring compliance with regulations and within marketing budgets.

Domestic and international travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and implementing strategic brand plans and campaigns for Australia export and Chinese markets
  • Develop marketing materials, trade marketing and educational materials across multiple Asian markets
  • Lead monthly social content calendar for Australia export, China and other markets and manage monthly reporting on social page performances
  • Review content in Chinese and English, with an ability to translate where needed
  • Work with external agencies and suppliers to develop and implement creative strategies and production of communication activities
  • Analyse the market through the utilisation of appropriate research, to best position the brand and understand the consumer segments
  • Organise consumer events, seminars and distributor conference when requested
  • Manage conference expo sponsorships and implementation
  • Ensure that all strategies and tactics comply with internal/external regulations and standards
  • Build strong relationships and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactively engage with 3rd party distributors in effective execution of all key activities to deliver brand performance
  • Planning and monitoring marketing budgets

Qualifications, Skills and Experience needed:

  • Tertiary qualification in business administration, commerce or marketing
  • 2+yrs experience in a Brand Marketing or Marketing Executive role
  • Excellent Mandarin and English, both in written and verbal
  • Knowledge of Australia export market and China CBEC environment
  • Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel,
  • Experience in FMCG, food or healthcare industry is preferable
  • Ability to analyse category data to measure success and to develop insights.
  • Ability to turn consumer insights into deliverable brand plans and key messages.
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative market research.
  • Proficiency in managing and directing agencies and strategic vendors.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team and strong relationship builder.
  • Knowledge of market trends and category insights in the VMS category both domestically and in emerging markets
  • Understanding of Sales and marketing within the healthcare sector and Daigou and China markets
  • Understanding of the China eCommerce platforms
  • Experience in eCommerce activities and online marketing channels
  • Experience in developing social media content ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Exceptional organisational skills in event management
  • Experience in analysing category data to measure success and ROI
  • Experience in analysing, interpreting and responding to consumer insights with brand plans and key messages
  • Thriving in a fast-paced environment managing competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and present with confidence to influence business outcomes
  • Strong and respectful interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
