WE Buchan, one of the world's largest independent integrated communications agencies, is looking for driven professionals to join our highly successful office in Melbourne. With an office in South Melbourne, we are keen to bolster our ranks with a talented Account Manager or Senior Account Manager to join our award-winning Investor Communications Team.

Our Melbourne office is one of 18 across the globe, and it's expanding rapidly. We work across time zones and continents. Our clients are innovative and so is our work – and importantly, our employees come first. We are currently looking for a first-rate PR/Comms operator to assume responsibility across some of our largest and most established corporate and ASX listed organizations; providing insightful client counsel, a deep understanding of the corporate and FS space and a passion for business writing.  You are required to have strong budgetary and financial management experience, whilst mastering the ability to manage both up and down – ensuring you develop, as well as your direct reports.

Key strengths within this role should include; content creation for both corporate and business audiences, Australian media relations, a passion for corporate and investor relations, international coordination, team management and strong budgetary control. 

Main Accountabilities:

• Digital strategy and campaign development experience
• Highly developed writing and content development for corporate and business audiences
• Solid media relations skills, whilst already having strong and established relationships with local media – corporate and/or financial services
• The ability to ensure the PR strategy speaks to the digital strategy (and vice versa)
•  Expert project manager, with the ability to navigate campaigns that have many moving parts
• Overall team management accountability and client day-to-day management

Operational Competencies:

• Has a track record in being able to educate, persuade/influence international stakeholders (both internal and external)
• Is widely and deeply connected: Has a proven ability to develop strong senior media relationships and comprehensive understanding of the media and new media environments

Previous proven experience:

• 3-5+ years' experience, with strong investor relations, corporate and/or financial services experience
• Proven track record of delivering high-profile campaigns, both in Australia and across APAC
• Experience of leading account, account teams and campaigns
• Proven financial acumen and budgetary control experience
• Equally thinks strategically and creatively

• Manage and understand how to utilize internal client service teams (editing, production, library, etc.) to ensure quality, comprehensive service to clients
