The Melbourne Accelerator Program (MAP) is Australia’s leading entrepreneurship initiative managed by the Melbourne Entrepreneurial Centre within the Faculty of Business and Economics.
The University of Melbourne is seeking an Events Manager to lead and manage all national and international events. This includes the annual Melbourne Entrepreneurship Gala, Accelerator Launch and Demo Day, Trade Missions, Visionary Series (public forums), Master Classes, the Velocity Series and more. Reporting to the Director of MAP, the Events Manager will be expected to create exceptional experiences that deliver value to our key stakeholders – our founders, mentors, investors, corporate and community partners, as well as to Australia’s wider startup community.
To be successful in this position you will have an appropriate postgraduate qualification or progress towards postgraduate qualifications, and extensive relevant experience. You will have demonstrated program management expertise with extensive experience in leading, managing and delivering high-end signature programs and events. You will be outcome focused and possess excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills. A strong interest in innovation, entrepreneurship and the higher education sector would be desirable.
