About the role

Located at our state of the art offices in Melbourne, we have an exciting opportunity for a Retention and Engagement Manager to lead initiatives from strategy through to execution to increase customer retention, engagement, loyalty and advocacy.

Leading a team of highly skilled Marketers, this role is accountable for the planning, development, execution and optimising marketing initiatives that deliver to the Customer Markets Retention strategy and ultimately the Customer Markets objectives.

Key accountabilities

The role will have five direct reports and will be responsible to lead the development of the Customer Lifecycle Management program that leverages new and existing propositions, delivering on the Retention Strategy goals to increase Retention.

Some of the key accountabilities are as follows:

  • Develop the Customer Lifecycle Management marketing strategies that leverage AGL’s brand, products and capabilities to deliver to Customer Markets priorities
  • Leverage market leading technology to deliver personalized and connected experience to our customers across all channels and touch points through their journey
  • Collaborate cross functionally across Customer Markets to align on priorities and resourcing
  • Leverage data, insights and capability to personalise communications with our customers, align offer, message and channel to customer need
  • Build effective relationships with our media, digital and creative agencies for innovative and customer focused outputs
  • Drive a culture of high performance amongst the team of Marketers and encourage a lean and AGILE approach to delivery
  • Drive the financial planning to optimise the allocation of Marketing budget to drive productivity and optimal ROI

About you

If you have excellent presentation and relationship building skills, demonstrated leadership skills in a similar role and a strong business acumen, this may be the perfect role for you.

Some of the key skills we are looking for are as follows:

  • Demonstrated experience in Integrated Marketing strategy development and execution
  • Proven experience developing business retention strategies
  • Significant experience developing, embedding and executing Customer Lifecycle strategies
  • Extensive experience delivering omni-channel personalisation at scale through platforms such as Adobe Campaign, Sitecore, Pega, Marketo
  • Previous leadership experience in a complex environment including leading direct reports
  • Budgeting and supplier management experience
  • Understanding of communications development, campaign management & implementation and production processes and how this relates to the online space
  • Understanding and experience with digital analytic tools to monitor campaigns and user behaviour
