Communications Manager
Taggle, (www.taggle.com.au ) a fast-growing and established tech company, requires an experienced communications manager to develop and deliver on a comprehensive communications strategy to reflect and enhance the growing reputation, professionalism and capabilities of this rapidly growing Australian tech company based in Sydney’s CBD.
Taggle Systems has grown to be Australia’s largest supplier and operator of wide area wireless networking systems, based on an innovative radio technology developed in house.
This technology is installed, for example, across hundreds of thousands of water meters, communicating back to Taggle via the cloud. Taggle provides excellent data, data analysis and customer service to their customers.
This is an exciting and influential role for a serious communications professional with a track record of all-round experience and success in similar roles in tech, or perhaps you come from education, media or related industries and have an interest in technology.
Working with the Product Marketing Manager you will be working within a team of highly educated, interesting and busy people in a high-tech culture that has a palpable ‘buzz’. This is a rare opportunity for a switched on Communications professional.
Key Tasks:
The successful candidate must:
- Work with Taggle management to clarify and manage the Taggle brand and key messaging
- Understand a target audience of engineers and managers in the government and utility sector
- build recognition, reach and reputation
- collaborate with the Taggle team to showcase achievements and capabilities
- enhance existing comms channels, including website
- identify, create and use effective new comms channels
- create and manage data bases as required
- gather, track and report on competitor intelligence
- liaise with media and suppliers (photographers, designers, printers etc)
- create and distribute media releases
- create materials
- manage and attend relevant trade shows and expos
- develop and deliver on campaigns for new products and markets as the company continues to grow.
- Measure and track campaign performance
The Ideal Candidate:
Essential capabilities and skills
- Excellent written and verbal English literacy
- Social media literacy
- Adept at using Electronic Direct Mail (Mail Chimp or Campaign Manager) and similar
- Adept at using MS Excel or similar software
- Experience with print publications
- Copywriting
- Photography
- Degree in Public Relations, Marketing or Communications
- At least five years’ experience in marcomms roles
- Experience working successfully in small to medium enterprises
- Enthusiasm for (or experience with) the tech industry
- Team player
- Demonstrable work ethic
- Dynamic, energetic and keen to learn
- A sense of humour and fun

- Design skills
