About the Role

Assist in the planning and delivery of effective media and advocacy initiatives to maintain and enhance the RACQ reputation.

  • Develop communication and content for traditional media, online and social media channels
  • Monitor feedback and complaints on all social media platforms, including participating in an out of hours on call roster
  • Advise other spokespeople or business units on managing social media and protecting the brand
  • Handle media enquiries to ensure appropriate messages are disseminated
  • Assist in the organisation of media-targeted events designed to maximise media coverage 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key media representatives and RACQ stakeholders
  • Script and produce video projects for external and internal distribution

Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years relevant experience and/or tertiary qualification
  • Proven ability to deliver effective media activities 
  • Advanced written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media best practice and trends
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritise and meet competing deadlines
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Media Monitors Mediaportal
