Technology Executive Role

Are you interested in how consumers and brands communicate across platforms? Do you have a technical background (real-world or academic) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Digital Marketing or related field?

We have a fantastic opportunity for a technology executive to join our quickly growing technology consultancy team. This is a technical implementation role which reports to the Technology Director and interfaces with client teams, performance team (SEM, programmatic) strategy and analytics, digital experience optimisation and other specialists including creatives. The team is focused on campaign measurement, audience set-up, and implementation of digital technology across paid and owned channels. There is incredible opportunity for learning on the job and from leading tech providers in this space.

The Technology Executive role will help our clients grow by enabling them to improve their digital campaign tracking and ability to measure and personalise activity across all channels by;

  • Understanding what technology (Adobe Analytics, Experience and Ad Cloud, Google Analytics, Google 360, DCM, DBM) solutions can do
  • Choosing the best in market technology
  • Ensuring the client implements the right solution
  • Integrating data across platforms (Adobe, Google, etc.), assets/touchpoints (media, owned platforms such as sites and apps, CRM)  and devices (laptops, mobiles) to allow for better decisions
  • Make more advanced use from clients' existing platform technology

You will learn and provide end-to-end consultancy from deployment to activation to ensure a single customer view across all assets, devices and platforms.

In the role you will be responsible for the management, development and best practices of technologies deployed through enterprise level tag management solutions, implementation of technology from Adobe and Google and assisting with process & enablement.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working with existing and new digital technologies to shape the development of a digital experience technology stack for clients
  • The development of dataLayer, Tag Manager & DMP implementation and management
  • Add and manage tags, JavaScript and other artifacts within web pages to enable tracking to ensure reporting is accurate and actionable
  • Integrate data sources via web APIs into automated systems
  • Work with internal team responsible for providing design recommendations,  ensuring tags and other mechanisms for proper measurement are in place
  • Provide regular insights and reports to agency and leadership regarding industry trends, ad tech and martech news
  • With oversight from Tech Director and Analytics Director conduct deep dive analysis across multiple customer touch points such as email, paid search, organic search, affiliates, leveraging data from multiple sources: Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and internal client systems
  • Work with business stakeholders and analysts to understand the problem being solved and supported by the implementation
  • Serve as liaison between the client team, digital experience team and analytics teams – with you being responsible areas such as implementation of customer segmentation and translating these to other platforms used by teams including digital experience optimisation team
  • Ensure teams are educated about the quality of data and what it will enable regarding data insights
  • Participate in ongoing Adobe and Google training and certification programs sponsored by Blue 449
  • Recommend and implement effective solutions to meet stakeholder needs
  • Delivery and embedding of processes for tag management and data management
  • Training and enablement of tools within the business
  • Additional duties and projects as required

Desired skills/experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Digital Marketing, Economics, Mathematics, Backend Coding - or equivalent level through experience
  • You will have experience JavaScript, JQuery and other frameworks
  • Experience with working with dataLayer
  • Experience with analytics platforms (Google Analytics/GA360/Adobe Analytics)
  • Should have intermediate to advanced knowledge and abilities using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with broader Adobe tools such as Audience Manager, Target, Experience Manager, Business Intelligence platforms (e.g. Tableau) is a plus
  • Experience with DMPs, tag management including systems like Adobe DTM, GTM, and Tealium is a plus
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Use specialized knowledge to go beyond the routine to solve complex problems that frequently affect areas beyond own functional area
  • Must be able to approach unfamiliar situations, projects, and opportunities with confidence and curiosity
  • Must be able to work with a multitude of stakeholders including client teams and other specialists
