IG Design Group (Artwrap) is an established, progressive, growing organisation and is one of Australia’s leading suppliers in greeting cards, gift wrapping, stationery, party and seasonal items selling into both independent and national retail channels.
We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Product Manager to join our already dynamic and creative product team.
Reporting into the Senior Product Category Manager for Stationery, Seasonal, Gift & Novelty and Party you will be responsible for the Party and Kids portfolio which will include all aspects of product ranging.
Specifically, you will be responsible but not limited to:
- Developing and maintaining new product ranges and manage all aspects associated with the product through its lifecycles
- Research the market to identify new product opportunities within that category
- Working closely with the design team on new product concepts and product updates
- Working with the China merchandising team to ensure optimal pricing efficiencies, order timelines and all order specific requirements are met
- Liaising daily with overseas suppliers and factories managing product and production
- Analysing product performance and presenting recommendations to the Category Manager
- Closely following market trends and competitor products to ensure we are at the forefront
- Ensuring and ongoing stream of communication to all stakeholders
You need at least 3-4 years’ experience in product development/buying or a similar role within a product team. Previous experience with overseas buying trips and supplier visits would be preferable but not essential
You will be highly organised, hold excellent time management skill with a strong eye for detail and enjoy a fast paced, creative workplace. You will hold strong communication and relationship building skills within the workplace, with suppliers and our China team.
Naturally you are a motivated, hands on team member with a CAN-DO attitude to all tasks put in front of you. You have a creative mind with the ability to think outside the box in all aspects of your role with a strong flair for trends, product development and design direction. You are able to follow directions given and solve problems at hand within a timely manner. Finally, you are happy, resilient and positive- day in and day out. That is who we are at IG Design Group.
To be considered for this role you must be competent in Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office programs. Some understanding of Indesign, Illustrator and MAC based programs is favourable.
