Matt Stone Racing, a race team competing in the Australian Supercars series, Super2 Series, Touring Car Master Series and Australian Touring Car Series requires an experienced person with the necessary skills to undertake the position of Commercial Manager. The position is based at our workshop at Yatala.
The role of Commercial Manager is to effectively build the awareness of the Matt Stone Racing brand and look to develop new business opportunities with a particular emphasis on the areas of sponsorship and promotions.
The candidate must have a strong background in commercial management, stakeholder relations and liaison. Experience in motorsport will be given considerable weight in determining the ideal candidate for the position, however, is not essential.
Responsibilities and skills in this interesting role will include but not limited to the following:
- Develop and cultivate existing and new corporate sponsors
- Manage new and existing sponsors at race meetings and business events, including management of corporate hospitality at these events
- Identify and create business opportunities
- Development of new income streams
- Design and Implement strategies to improve sponsorship and business reach and develop further commercial initiatives.
