Job Description

We are looking for a strategic, driven and passionate professional with a high level of commercial acumen to join our Category team based at our Australia Head Office in Southbank. This role is pretty unique. You will be the key link between Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning and Commercial Finance. You will be responsible for developing and driving go-to-market strategies and category management initiatives. If you are driven to achieving financial goals and have the influence to recommend and implement changes where needed, then this could be the role for you!

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing the sales plan for category/categories to achieve turnover and profitability within set market share targets, company policies, principles, and specific objectives
  • Defining and developing the product, price, place, and promotion for the category/categories.
  • Deepening understanding of practices in the category.
  • Perfecting methods and tools that permit the conception of new in-store categories/product groupings.
  • Delivering category targets consistent with consumer category and customer needs and company goals
  • Being the key communication link between Sales & Marketing
  • Input to new product development

  • Have strong planning and organisational abilities
  • Have come from an Account Management / Channel Marketing / Category Insight / Development background
