My client is looking for an experienced Community Engagement Specialist with an appetite for the great outdoors. Champion this organisation through strategic stakeholder engagement, lead a small team of coordinators to deliver on set goals and build and maintain effective relationships right across the Department and other Government agencies.
This is a permanent position with an immediate start. Salary on offer is $103k p/a + Super.
The role:
- Provide advice to management on community engagement planning issues and opportunities
- Lead the development and delivery of a suite of procedures, guidelines, practices, processes and tools, including accessibility management
- Develop presentations and social media tools that promote effective public awareness
- Attend community meetings on behalf of the organisation to hear the community concerns and understand community interests and activities
- Identify all key stakeholders in the internal and external environments
- Identify trends and events that might impact the on the effectiveness of community engagement practices
- Lead a small team of two, an Accessibility Coordinator and a Community Coordinator
About you:
- You are a Stakeholder Engagement specialist, with extensive experience in Community Engagement
- You have strong presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to write and present confidently
- You have extensive experience in developing and implementing plans and projects
- You have a valid drivers license and can committ to taking regular and unplanned travel to rural and remote areas of Victoria
