The background of GO Creative

GO Creative is a website development, website management, and SEO provider, based in Shailer Park (Logan, Queensland), and was established in 2001. Our client base is rapidly growing, and we need extra team members to manage that growth!

It just so happens that we do that through building great websites, managing them for our clients, and increasing sales via SEO.

The role and benefits (drum roll, please...)

We're looking for a Search Engine Optimisation specialist who wants to work remotely and set their own hours! Yes, you will be required to work from our office from time to time, and be contactable during our business hours... but other than that, we just want someone who knows their stuff and has a couple of years of experience under their belt.

We do intend to grow the role into a full time position, so while this role is for 20 hours per week, we can scale that up as needed to manage our workload. So we need someone who is capable of handling up to the full 40 hours per week if required.

Without further ado...

The things you must definitely be able to do

• At least two years of professional experience with all aspects of white hat on-site and off-site SEO.
• At least two years of professional experience with WordPress and Yoast SEO.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (simple language and the ability to explain SEO to clients).
• Considerable experience with a range of industry-standard SEO tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Bing Webmasters.
• Outstanding project- and time-management skills.

• Basic coding: HTML/CSS/PHP
• Work with apps: Facebook Business, BrightLocal, Active Collab, Google Sheets/Docs, Excel, Kwfinder.com

The nitty-gritty of what you’ll actually do here

• Identify possible improvements in organic traffic and conversion rates through on-site and off-site SEO.
• Identify and pursue backlink opportunities.
• Research, monitor, and adjust keywords for maximum performance.
• Clean up negative backlinks, and manage “link profile” disavow tools.
• Write and adjust on-page content, and metadata.
• Not essential, but very handy if you can write blog and backlink articles each month.
• Perform and analyse SEO audits, and coordinate fixes/changes with our web developers.
• Provide detailed reports, analysis, and recommendations to both our clients and GO Creative management.
