About the role

Located at our state of the art offices in the Melbourne CBD, we have a newly created role for a Continuous Improvement Lead to drive cultural change and operational transformation throughout the entire Customer Value chain to deliver to AGLs’ strategic priorities of embrace transformation, drive productivity and unlock growth.

Key accountabilities

The role is responsible for transforming end to end customer experiences and increase shareholder value via leading improvement initiatives partnering with Customer Markets (CM) wide stakeholders to achieve operational excellence (improved customer experience, increased process efficiency, reduce risk, reduced waste and cost). Additionally, the purpose of the CI lead is to train and coach business stakeholders in CI principles and quality mindset to drive an increase CI capability uplift.

Some of the key accountabilities are as follows:

• Proactively identify and size improvement opportunities to deliver efficiencies to both internal and external customers
• Scope, mobilise and deliver improvement projects across the customer value chain by leading cross functional stakeholders utilising improvement methodologies (ie Lean, Six Sigma, Innovation)
• Manage the delivery of improvement projects utilising Agile and project management methodologies to deliver to planned schedule, budget and objectives
• Influence stakeholders at all levels throughout the organisation to influence behaviours and drive change required to achieve the improvement objectives
• Solve complex and changing customer problems- lead by facilitating and collaborating with cross functional subject matter experts across the entire customer value chain
• Drive a culture of CI and increase CM capability, coach and mentor stakeholders in CI methodologies

About you

If you have strong process improvement management and problem-solving skills, this would be the perfect role for you.

Some of the key skills we are looking for are as follows:

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certified and demonstrated experience implementing the methodology
• Agile certified and an innovation certification would be highly regarded
• Ability to negotiate and influence a broad range of stakeholders at various levels of the organisation
• Ability to lead and drive change with stakeholders at various levels of the organization
• Facilitation, collaboration skills, negotiating, strong decision-making frame working and analytical skills
