About the business and the role
Lions Australia is the National Secretariat for 1200 local Lions Clubs, throughout Australia. We are a small and dedicated team of professionals that provide support services to our clubs and their members.
This part time role provides direct support to key volunteers, guides our media and public relations strategies, delivers programs and services, and coordinates media events and opportunities.
The position is for a minimum of 2 days per week with 3 days per week preferred. Start date, mid- August for a period of 6-12 month.

Job tasks and responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordinating and executing public relations activities and events for Lions Australia to promote a positive image.
- Assist in coordinating Lions Australia's print, broadcast and new media advertising campaigns
- Assist in preparing and executing the production of Lions Australia's publications including but not limited to magazines, newsletters, websites and brochures
- Assist in researching, writing and distributing Lions Australia press releases to targeted media
- Assist in maintaining and updating Lions Australia's website information
- Collate and analyse media coverage
- Assist in developing and coordinating Lions Australia's social media activities
- Assist in seeking media opportunities to maintain and grow brand awareness of Lions Australia
Skills and experience
Tertiary qualifications or significant experience in a relevant field.
Proven track record in similar or related organisations in promoting and marketing.
Creative approach but with an appreciation of the geographic and resource limitations.
Demonstrated ability to work to a schedule and deadlines.
A positive and optimistic attitude.
