This is a rare opportunity for an experienced and talented content and communications expert to join our team in this newly created role, focusing on managing and delivering high-level written content that drives business outcomes and attracts new customers for our group of 3 properties in the Tourism and Hospitality sector.

 

Our group of properties is continuously growing and now encompasses the following quality Resorts (Accommodation, Food & Beverage and Golf) in New South Wales:

  • Jonah’s Restaurant & Boutique Hotel – Whale Beach NSW
  • Bonville Golf Resort – Coffs Harbour (Bonville) NSW
  • Pacific Bay Resort – Coffs Harbour NSW

 

Reporting to the General Manager, this is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for designing and creating outstanding content, its placement and optimisation for a range of digital and printed media including newsletters, press releases, radio scripts, publications and a wide range of other marketing material for our 3 properties, to ensure the content is engaging, current and relevant to generate new business. You will also be responsible for responding online reviews in an appropriate manner and understand how review feedback can be used to optimize and generate new business and improve our reputation.

 

The successful applicant will:

  • Have a minimum 3 years' experience in copywriting, journalism or PR preferably in the Tourism and Hospitality sector
  • Be degree qualified in Marketing, Communications, Commerce or similar field
  • Have strong creative copywriting and writing content skills, conceptual thinking and the ability to turn ideas into reality (storytelling).
  • Have an understanding of social media and digital media platforms for building communities
  • Be a creative and innovative person who is able to construct information and messages in the most effective way and develop material appropriate to the target audience
  • Understand corporate communications and digital content marketing principles and have a strong knowledge of recent developments in the market – content, copy, research and technology
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal with significant experience in and exposure to various business writing styles and editing responsibilities
  • Exceptional organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Experience in using email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp and editing programs such as Photoshop are desirable
  • Ability to build positive relationships and external networks and collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve exceptional outcomes
