This is an exciting opportunity in Preston, VIC for a suitably experienced and talented Marketing Coordinator to support and grow the business.

About the Role

The Marketing Coordinator will be a major driver of marketing initiatives and will play an important part in implementing the company strategy to achieve business growth and innovation both in how products and services are promoted and developed.

Key areas of responsibility are:

  1. Sales Support: Providing the Sales Team with the appropriate brochures, proposals, data sheets, pricing and other information that they need to assist our customers in their purchasing decisions. Writing and updating Product Data Sheets and Task Sheets.
  2. Customer Communications: Developing advertising and editorial, promotions, publicity, lead generation including email and direct mail campaigns, social media, customer surveys and managing the Company's web sites including creating and sourcing content.
  3. Product Promotion.  Working closely with the company’s distributors and assisting them with point-of-sales materials and promotional activities all aimed at increasing sales and product awareness, as well as organising and managing trade show displays.
  4. Branding. Maintaining the uniformity of the company's branding and image on company literature, brochures, internet, forms, uniforms, vehicle signage and building signage. Design, compilation of copy and preparation of visual presentations, training materials, forms and charts.

This is a Full-Time role, 38 hours per week, reporting to the Joint Managing Director – Sales & Marketing. The role is located at the Company’s Head Office in Preston.

About You

You describe yourself as an enthusiastic, driven and conscientious marketing professional who is prepared to take ownership of their duties, and who wants to drive sales growth and be recognized for their contribution.

This is a stand-alone position, so we need a person who can work on multiple projects on their own. You are prepared to work on both minor tasks and creative projects, and you thrive on the variety of marketing activities, as well as having direct input into the future direction of our company's products and services.

Essential skills and experience

  • Thorough understanding of marketing methodology demonstrated by work history and preferably, success in these areas with another company.
  • Intermediate knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications (esp. Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint)
  • Working knowledge of Corel Draw and Wordpress.
  • Digital marketing – Mailchimp, Google Diagnostics, etc.
  • Desktop publishing, basic photography and video capture and production.
  • Ability to work on and co-ordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage projects through to completion, achieving previously stated outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with people from all backgrounds.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • High-level presentation skills, in terms of dress, grooming and verbal.
  • Excellent level of writing ability and numeracy.
  • Creative flair in copy writing and graphic design.
  • A strong desire to help the company realise significant sales growth.
  • Be able to work pro-actively, and with minimum supervision.

Preferred

  • Understanding of accounting packages, familiarity with JIWA
  • Tertiary qualification related to marketing.
  • Drivers licence and own vehicle.
