An energetic and experienced Engagement Manager is required to help continue to drive the Club’s expansion into Ballarat.
Reporting to the General Manager Marketing and Communications, this role will have direct responsibility over the planning and execution of fan and community based programs and assist with the delivery of commercial growth in Ballarat.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the management of our Ballarat Contract in place with the State Government including coordination of key stakeholder meetings and completion of reporting deliverables;
- Work with the Fan Engagement & Community Foundation teams to plan and deliver Community Engagement initiatives that are aligned with City of Ballarat and State Government partnerships;
- With the Schools Development Coordinator, develop and deliver School Programs within the Ballarat region;
- Manage and execute partnership agreements with AFL Goldfields and Central Highlands Football League. Build and maintain relationships with local clubs and leagues in the region;
- Coordinate the use of SEDA Ballarat students to deliver programs within the region;
- Assist the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation (WBCF) with building community relationships and stakeholder management in western Victoria;
- Assist the Community Foundation Managers with the design, coordination and implementation of the key programs in the Ballarat region;
- Representing the Club at relevant regional partnerships and networks;
- Assist the Executive team to implement the overall Ballarat strategy, including managing Ballarat budget;
- Support the Commercial Partnerships department to sell, prepare, manage and pitch sponsorship proposals to potential new and existing sponsors;
- Understand membership & merchandise products to assist customers with enquiries; and
- Manage staff and the daily operations of the shop with support from membership and merchandise teams.
There will be some required travel to Melbourne and weekend work.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in coordinating community programs and driving engagement. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
