Renault Australia are now seeking to engage a Product Specialist (PSUV) to join the Renault Marketing team on a fixed-term contract. This position will be responsible for the development and execution of select model life cycle plans within the PSUV range, to include product and marketing strategies which are aligned to overall commercial objectives.

 

This position will report directly to the Special Projects & Corporate Communications Manager, with key responsibilities for the following:

  • Develop annual model line plans for select PSUV ranges and manage the execution of product marketing strategies, incorporating product life cycle actions, pricing and other marketing activities to achieve volume and profit objectives. 
  • Manage the on-going performance of select PSUV ranges by actively driving commercial strategies which exceed and/or address shortfalls in volume and profit objectives.  Provide key direction and input into commercial activities in partnership with internal stakeholders including Planning & Distribution, Sales, Finance, Aftersales and Training. 
  • Manage pre-launch, launch and post-launch performance activities for a select PSUV range, ensuring activities are executed in line with defined program objectives.
  • Constantly analyse and utilise data and insights from all available sources (internal and external - market/segment, product, competition, customer, positioning, pricing, promotion, stock) to proactively inform the successful management of the model line portfolio to input into product offering for our market:
    • New model planning and introduction
    • Annual and  quarterly commercial planning process
    • Tactical activity
    • Model runout
    • Daily, weekly and monthly reporting of PSUV KPIs
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to provide content and expertise for relevant product training programs, ensuring training is included/considered in all pre-launch, launch and on-going activities for new/phase models.
  • Ensure alignment with all internal and Regional reporting cycle forums. Consistently report on performance, highlighting insights, issues and remedial actions versus plan.

     

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing required.
  • Automotive industry with experience within sales and marketing functions, ideally with dealer management experience.
  • Sound experience integrating product marketing with marketing initiatives to achieve marketing messages. 
  • Understanding of product development and pricing process within automotive sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to demonstrate clear and logical methodology.
  • Understanding of basic fundamentals of financial management.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders and build positive relationships.
  • Excellent organisational skills & capability to multi-task.
  • Project management experience with demonstrable ability to execute strategic plans.
  • Ability to work independently.
