If you have a passion for Government Relations and a natural interest in diplomacy and engagement then this role is for you.  In this key role you will be responsible for deftly managing competing priorities and urgent tasks, building relationships and providing effective liaison between Queensland Rail and key Parliamentary Stakeholders.

With a proactive and highly professional approach you will liaise with a wide range of senior managers and parliamentary stakeholders, senior departmental and treasury staff.  You will bring to the role extensive knowledge of parliamentary and state government processes in particular for a Government Owned Corporation, along with an ability to communicate carefully, negotiate outcomes and influence effectively with a wide range of audiences.  As a key adviser and issues manager you will work closely with the Queensland Rail Executive in order to seek out information and provide detailed analysis and advice.

As a Queensland Rail point of contact, you will appreciate the requirement to research and monitor complex Government and rail related issues and maintain relationships across government. You will be able to objectively engage with stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making and provide guidance and advice on Queensland Rail matters.

Appropriate tertiary qualifications in public policy, political science or communications will help to ensure your successful appointment.

This opportunity offers between $103,995 - $111,287 plus superannuation depending on experience.
