QAIHC is a non-partisan peak organisation representing 28 Aboriginal and Islander Community Controlled Health Organisations (AICCHOs) across Queensland at both state and national level. Our members deliver comprehensive and culturally appropriate, world class primary health care services to their communities.

We are seeking a Graphic Designer to join our Communication and Marketing Team.

Role Overview

Working closely with the Manager, Communication and Marketing, this role will provide communication advice, practical delivery and assistance with regard to planning, development, implementation and evaluation of communication activities. This includes tasks such as:

  • Produce a suite of collateral and designs for use across various media including websites, social media, video, animations, infographics, eNewsletters, presentations and print.
  • Perform design and publishing tasks for both print and online media using a variety of design, desktop publishing and web publishing tools.
  • Lead the delivery of graphic design solutions from the development of original concepts through to finished artwork.
  • Perform updates to the organisation’s website and intranet.
  • Develop, co-ordinate and manage a range of digital campaigns and events.
  • Develop schedules and write content for social media accounts and website.
  • Provide support and assist with maintenance of the QAIHC website.

Pre-requisite skills & experience

  • Ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and their leaders, respecting traditional culture, values and ways of doing business.
  • Graphic design experience including demonstrated skill in using Adobe CC (InDesign, Photoshop, Premier Pro, After Effects and Illustrator)
  • Experience designing artwork for multiple digital channels, including websites, social media, EDM’s etc.
  • Demonstrated track record of traditional graphic design and the development of electronic media, with a sound knowledge and working experience across flash and video technologies.
  • Ability to create video, animation and infographics.
  • Proficient with both Mac and PC operating systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
  • Exceptional relationship skills and an ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Current, unrestricted C class driver licence.
  • Recent graduates with high level digital and graphic design skills, and work experience in marketing related roles will be considered for this position
