Weir Minerals Australia Ltd, a member of the Weir Group PLC, is the market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of slurry pumps and allied minerals processing equipment to the mining industry, both within Australia and throughout the world.
Due to a position becoming available, we are currently recruiting for either an experienced and skilled Rubber Liner to join our dynamic Service Centre in Townsville or a Career minded trainee with an enthusiastic attitude & willingness to learn.
As a Rubber Liner, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and high quality rubber lining of tanks, chutes, pipes and similar products. You will be required to rubber line according to Weir’s quality standards and contribute to maintaining our standard of quality control in the workshop as well as on site. Ensuring the workshop is safe, efficient and well maintained is our highest priority and having the right safety attitude and behaviours is a must. As our customers are remotely based, site work, overtime and weekend work including travel to remote locations for extended periods of time will be required.
To be successful for this role, you will possess:
- Prior experience as a rubber liner and knowledge of rubber products would be an advantage.
- Prior experience in Industrial tiling would be highly regarded.
- Willingness, flexibility and ability to undertake remote site work, work overtime including weekends when required.
- A current driver’s licence.
- A positive “can do” attitude, working both in a team and autonomously.
- Attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude and approach towards Health and Safety.
