Our company is a proudly Australian owned leader in the design, supply and installation of steel Safety Barrier Systems. We are looking to appoint a welder / fabricator to work in production as part of a small team at our facility in the western suburbs of Melbourne. The role encompasses MIG welding / general fabrication tasks and also other intermittent tasks in general production (machine setting, pressing, drilling, sawing,machining), general housekeeping etc. It is a full time position with variety.
The successful applicant will be self-motivated, a good communicator and team oriented. It is required that you will have a certificate and prior experience in MIG welding in a manufacturing environment. Reading of drawings and knowledge of standard OH&S procedures along with a forklift license and current Victorian manual drivers license are also highly desirable. There is some heavy lifting involved so you will need to be fit.
Basic mechanical aptitude and computer literacy will also be positives.
