We are currently seeking numerous positions for certified tradesman - Diesel Fitters and Mechanical Fitters with Marine experience.
You will work with our highly regarded contracting company located in Darwin.
Previous experience working within the Maritime Industry will be highly regarded. All applicants must be willing and able to complete pre-employment fitness-for-work assessments, which includes drug and alcohol screening.
Please be advised that this role is Darwin based and not FIFO.
Diesel Fitters - MUST have engine knowledge; fault finding and testing experience:
- Cooling systems, lube systems, Fuel system knowledge.
- Engine tuning and adjusting and rebuilding, and servicing knowledge.
- Experience with pumps would be advantageous.
- General Vessel knowledge would be advantageous.
- ZF Gear box knowledge would be highly regarded, but not essential.
- Fabrication and or general machining experience with a broad engineering background.
Mechanical Fitters -
- Possess experience in Fitting & Maintenance within Heavy Industry
- Be able to work autonomously & in a busy environment with high accuracy to detail
- Proven history in mechanical repairs and maintenance experience
- Examine faulty machines and defects

Selection Criteria for BOTH TRADES are as required;
- Strong organisational, multi-tasking and prioritising skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised and according to deadlines set.
- Assist other departments to achieve time sensitive deadlines.
- Commitment to health, safety, community and environment
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
- Working At Heights
- Confined Spaces
- High Risk Work Licence
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Able to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical including DAS screen
- MSIC
The successful candidate must want to work in a dynamic environment and be able to change direction according to priorities. This is a demanding hands on position.
