NRMA MotorServe is actively seeking a Foreman to join their busy workshop based in Canberra. As the Foreman as you will be responsible for leading the team in the workshop to deliver quality mechanical servicing, maintenance and repairs of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring commitment and compliance to OHS, EEO and other company policies
• Coach and develop team members
• Assist Automotive Technicians achieve operation efficiencies
• Provide accurate quotations to customers on faults
• Ensure total customer satisfaction
• Diagnose faults
• Ensure timesheets and job records are updated and accurately kept
• Ensure Automotive Technicians achieve agreed operational and efficiencies targets
• Arrange with Suppliers and coordinate parts deliveries for repairs

Essential

• Must have a Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate

Desirable

• Desirable to have E-Safety (pink slip) licence, LPG and post trade qualifications
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to co-ordinate tasks in order to perform jobs in the most efficient manner
• Knowledge and experience in service and maintenance with all car makes and models
• Good diagnostic skills.
• Experience in the use of a range of tools and equipment associated with the mechanical workshop operation.
• Basic oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to organise and co-ordinate tasks in order to perform jobs in the most efficient manner
• Ability to interpret given instructions and tasks.
• Ability to work in co-operation with other employees and contractors
• Ability to discuss and resolve problems.
• Ability to interpret spare parts manuals and CD's
• Commitment to enthusiasm and ensure customer service
• Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment

Special Requirements

• Must be available to work weekends (Saturdays) as required.
• Must hold a current drivers licence
