Aveo is looking for an experienced, highly motivated and pro-active Maintenance Officer to join the team at Aveo Freedom Aged Care Cleveland Gardens, QLD
Please note: This is a 4 week fixed term casual postion to cover annual leave throughout 25 July 2018 to 24 August 2018.

About the role:
Reporting to the Home Care Community Manager, you will be responsible for all day to day maintenance requirements and repairs, assisting with grounds and gardens throughout the community, and driving the residents bus to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, staff and others. You will ensure resident's safety, security, dignity, privacy and well-being at all times, actively contribute to the promotion of best practice in OH &S and continuous quality improvement, and promote the culture and philosophies of Aveo Group villages.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous industry experience is desirable
- Relevant trade qualifications will be highly regarded
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Ability to supply a Police Check within 6 weeks
- Ability to work autonomously
- Honest, reliable and tolerant
- Demonstrated ability to work within OH&S and a continuous improvement environment
- A passion for resident satisfaction
- Friendly and empathetic manner
- Eligibility to work in Australia
