Cryoquip has an opportunity for a technically minded individual with an interest in an apprenticeship in either a mechanical fitting role, or as a boiler maker welder.
We currently employ 5 apprentices and wish to develop our team further. We have a young and dynamic team and work hard to train and develop all our staff so that they may realise their full potential.
Our facility is based in Dandenong and would report to one of our team leaders, whilst having weekly day release for TAFE training.
The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Learning about all aspects of the equipment we build. Including but not limited to Vaporizers, Cryogenic Vessels, process skids and cryogenic pumps.
- Inspecting designs and finished products for compliance with specifications
- Assisting with installing, testing, repairing equipment in our workshop and in the field
- Repair and maintenance of customer owned cryogenic vessels
- Assisting with any duties as required including general cleaning and tidying of the workshop
- Abide by specific site instructions including Workplace Health & Safety and Environmental policies
- Responsible for completing all appropriate paperwork and inspection forms required by Australian Standards and also by customer and/or site requirements
- Sanding, painting and general trade assistant duties as required.
- General ad-hoc duties as required
- Follow instructions and work under supervision, providing support to technicians as required
- Conduct general housekeeping duties to ensure workshop is clean and well organized.
Candidates must be committed to undertaking a 4 year apprenticeship which includes on the job training, block theory and practical training with a registered training organization. Qualifications will include either a Cert III in Mechanical Fitter & turner Cert III in Boiler Maker Welder.
Ideally, candidates will be mature minded. reliable and interested in learning all aspects of the role.
