About the Role:

Citywide are seeking dedicated team members to undertake an Arborist Traineeship with our partner Arbortrim. Citywide is invested in developing committed individuals at the beginning of their career.

Responsibilities for this role will include, tree pruning and removal, small plant maintenance, chainsaw operation and pruning from at EWP close to power lines and at ground level throughout parks, gardens and streetscapes.

The role:

• Full time (38 hours a week- Monday to Friday)
• 2 year traineeship
• General upkeep and maintenance
• Tree care, chainsaw operations
• Chipping, trimming and tree felling
• Maintain shrubs
• Conduct tree inspections
• Work outdoors
• Working at heights, physical role
• Excellent ongoing opportunities

Requirements:

• Drivers license and reliable transport
• Interest in working outdoors
• Previous experience working in landscaping, outdoors, horticulture desirable
• Willing to undergo Driver Demerit Check and Pre-Employment Medical Assessment
• Can do attitude
• Safety focused
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to work safely & promote safety in the workplace
• Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
• Experience dealing with customers, clients and members of the general public. Desirable
• Attention to detail
• Problem solving skills
• Adaptability and Flexibility
