The role
Reporting to the OMEGA Workshop Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing complete and water resistance services on Quartz and Mechanical timepieces. In addition, the role also troubleshoots technical faults to identify the corrective intervention required.
This position is based at our Martin Place OMEGA Boutique in Sydney and works a Tuesday - Saturday roster.
Responsibilities
- Disassembly, testing and exchange of movements
- Fitting of case components – crystals, gaskets, pushers etc
- Quick Services such as battery change, bracelet adjustment / repair or replacement
- Water Resistance tests
- Regulation (rate adjustment) on mechanical timepieces
- Troubleshooting of movements to identify faults
- Other tasks such as refinishing / polishing, part number interpretation etc
Skills and experience
- Qualified with watchmaking apprenticeship / diploma beneficial but not mandatory
- Previous work experience as a technician in a similar capacity with another watchmaking or jewellery brand
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving ability
- Ability to work under pressure and towards KPI's (minimum daily production)
