An opportunity exists in our Piping and Mechanical department for qualified Marine Fitters to join the team on a full time, permanent basis at our Hope Valley Road site in Naval Base.

Core duties will include:

  • Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and related equipment to specification by tack welding, brazing, cementing, bolting and threading joins.
  • Attaching pipes to bulkheads, frames, structure and fixtures to specifications using brackets and clamps
  • Assemble pipes, gaskets, valves and associated equipment to specification.
  • Plan pipe system layout and installation
  • Make templates for site determined pipes
  • Inspect work to ensure workmanship and quality complies with all specifications and standards
  • Install pumps and machinery
  • Test and commission engineering systems.

 Applicants must have:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Mechanical Marine Fitting not Boiler Making or LNG / Gas pipes
  • The ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Be flexible and willing to work shifts as and when required
