We are currently seeking a seasoned Project Manager with a Data background to work for an expanding and well-established company on multiple projects in NSW. You will be an accomplished Project Manager, with a background of delivery in both technical and business projects. You will be an individual with a proven track record of achieving success in highly complex and far reaching projects from inception to completion. You will be comfortable taking a hands-on approach in a lean environment and someone who is adept at getting buy-in from all areas of the business.

Whilst experience within data or compliance orientated projects would be beneficial, it is your ability to deliver projects in a timely and effective manner which is of greatest significance. Reporting directly into both Finance and Operations, the Project Manager will be first tasked with the identification of the ‘as-is’ with relation to risk and compliance standards in the digital realm. They will then be tasked with initiating and driving several business and process changes from inception to completion. They will set up and own the frameworks, policies and standards by which the business will transform their approach to data security and compliance and take a hands-on approach to leading the business through each stage of the changes and policies which will be implemented. They will act as subject matter expert to the business on the progress and be a key part of decision making, along with participating in governance arrangements.

They will present to the business at regular intervals and will be responsible providing updates on any changes to costing, timing resources or scope within the project. This is in short, a role of great importance to the organisation.

Minimum 5 years' experience is essential working as a Project Manager.

As a Project Manager – Data you will:

• Manage a range of communications projects, including budgets and client construction programs.
• Interact with Site Supervisors and Foreman, to ensure high levels of quality are being maintained for best industry standards.
• Maintain a safe workplace and ensuring WHS requirements and documentation is and are implemented.
• Ensure delivery of project time and within budget; direct control in reporting, monitoring labour, materials, plant & equipment and direction of Data supervisors.
• Take a first hand in driving a comprehensive analysis of compliance to international data protection standards across the business
• Identify risks pertaining to data and formulating plans to mitigate these risks
• Act as a subject matter expert on legislation and compliance standards relating to data, privacy
• Ensure that project sponsors and stakeholders are identified for all projects
• Oversee the engagement of vendors and the procurement of services and solutions
• Work with stakeholders across IT, Finance and Operations to ensure the successful delivery of the changes
• Present findings and outcomes to the business at every level in a regular and open manner.
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills along with a high level of emotional intelligence
• A passion for delivery

To be considered for this role you will be required to demonstrate the following

• Extensive relevant industry experience.
• Detailed management, technical and analytical skills to ensure all commercial, contractual, technical, human resource and engineering functions of the project are maintained.
• Proven ability to effectively lead a project team, and work within a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills that represent the company on site professionally and pro-actively.
• Appropriate qualifications
• Highly developed time management and organisational skills and ability to meet agreed project milestones.
• Understanding of relevant AS/NZ/ISO standards and New South Wales Electrical Industry legislation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to Occupational Health & Safety, Quality Management and Environmental principles.
• Demonstrated leadership that strives towards the commitment to nil incidents.
• Project Management experience in a hands-on environment
• NSW Driver’s License.
• Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
