About the role
The Maintenance Officer in consultation with the Commercial Manager will be responsible for the general maintenance of the facility to ensure that it is well maintained and attractive for residents, families, visitors and staff.
The Maintenance Officer will be responsible for managing planned maintenance for building/grounds and equipment through a maintenance management system to ensure compliance with legislative and Aged Care Accreditation Standards requirements.
Tasks will include identifying, managing and resolving defects of the property, providing repairs and maintenance support, maintenance of the grounds and gardens, supervising and coordinating external contractors in servicing the facility, managing relationships with suppliers and contractors.
Skill & Experience
- Ability to provide leadership and supervision of contractors and suppliers
- Ability to to manage short term projects to a high degree of satisfaction
- Previous experience in property/grounds maintenance and building works (preferably in Aged Care)
- Applicable trade qualification
- Strong customer focus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Great attention to detail
- Highly motivated
