Position Summary:

The aircraft part reclamation Machinist is responsible for assigned component projects whilst maintaining open lines of communication with their Leading Hand, Project and Planning Teams.

Successful candidate’s core role responsibilities:

  • Undertake various aircraft part machining operating tasks in line with planned hours and scheduling utilising CNC and manual machinery.
  • Contribute towards best practice in relation to reclamation of parts whilst operating manual and/or CNC machines.
  • Contribute to determination of planned hours for quotations with the Leading hand and Sales Team.
  • Effectively provide detailed communication to Leading Hand and Sales Team to assist with progress updates with customers.
  • Other duties as may be directed by your supervisor from time to time.

  • A higher level of machining experience utilising manual machinery over CNC machinery.
  • Experience working in an aircraft environment.
  • Experience working within an aircraft/aviation environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience in a fast paced customer focused work environment with multiple priorities and project deadlines.

Employment is offered on a full time permanent basis following successful completion of a six-month probationary period. To be considered for the role candidates must be able to demonstrate their legal right to work in Australia.
