NEPEAN Conveyors in an innovative provider of fully engineered turnkey conveying and materials handling solutions, from concept to commissioning for some of the world’s largest mining companies. Established in 1985, we manufacture and market high powered bulk materials handling conveyor systems and components as well as provide on-site installation, maintenance and relocation of conveyor installations. 

Nepean Conveyors are currently seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman to join their innovative and dynamic team, located in Unanderra. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the Foreman will be required to manage the workshop and storage areas in an efficient and safe manner.  This includes:

  • Supervising workshop staff and apprentices in a safe manner using appropriate SWI’s/SOP’s;
  • Ensure workshop housekeeping is of a high standard at all times.
  • Overseeing & enforcing the safe and correct use of machinery and equipment;
  • Scheduling of work flow throughout the workshop
  • Co-ordinating the work flow in accordance with production schedules and project plans;
  • Carry out QA inspections as per the company’s QA policy and procedures
  • Providing regular production reports (in line with KPI’s and business needs);
  • Testing and assembly of equipment;
  • Overseeing adequate stores stock;

    The above responsibilities will be supported by trade qualifications in fitting or a related discipline, have strong planning skills, excellent communication and an ability to lead a team.  You will also need to have computer skills (MS Office products) and be prepared to learn our accounting package, Pronto.

    The successful candidate will have a proven track record of achievement in a similar role and ideally having extensive experience within the industrial/mining/manufacturing industries.  Additionally, should be a self-starter, reliable, punctual, and a team player who is familiar with using safe working methods and has a high attention to detail.
