Our client was established in the 1950's and specializes in providing all the building materials required to build new homes, renovate, build extensions and complete household repairs.  Here, it’s all about quality and genuine personalised service to the customer. With experienced staff, many of which been on the team for over 25 years now, the business takes tremendous pride in making each and every customer that walks into the store feel welcome and leave happy!

The Position

Reporting through to the Warehouse Manager you’ll be joining as the newest member of a team of 10.  The key focus of the position will be to stock timber racks, make up timber orders (which will involve the lifting and movement of timber and other hardware products), loading and unloading trucks.  This is a physical labour orientated position which will keep you on the go!  Additional responsibilities will include, assisting customers with any enquiries where necessary and completing despatch paperwork.

• 2 + years work experience of any kind.
• A solid work history [you’ve shown a good long term commitment to jobs in the past]
• Work is important to you!
• You’re reasonably fit and fast – you like work that keeps you physically on the move;
• Good with your hands;
• Have a keen eye for detail;
• Are an alert communicator, good listener – with legible hand writing and sound reading skills; and,
• You have the Moorabbin Timber energies [Teamwork, Dependability, Persistence, Concern for Others, Attention to Detail, Stress Tolerance & Self Control].

A current Forklift Licence would be great, but is not essential.

These positions are just ideal for people who live in the Moorabbin, Bentleigh, Cheltenham, Clayton, Heatherton, Mentone, Hampton and Brighton areas – and people who have worked as a Labourer, Picker and Packer, Storeperson, Forklift Driver, Trades Assistant or Machine Operator before (although this is not essential and we will be considering people from all different working backgrounds).
