Automatic Door / Gate Technician

Talbot Automatic Doors and Gates, based in Peakhurst; have been servicing and maintaining residential and commercial auto doors and gates within the Sydney area for over 30 years. We are committed to providing exceptional service to the industry, and take great pride in our customer relations.

We are looking for an experienced electrician who wants to discover a new challenge in a diverse work environment.

The role as Automatic Door and Gate technician requires the ability to efficiently install, service, troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical doors and gates including automatic sliding doors, roller shutters, panel lift doors, boom gates, swing and sliding gates with the following attributes.

• A self-motivated team player that can work either independently or in a group setting with excellent self organisational and communication skills.

• Ability to be in an on-call rotation to provide our customers with after hours emergency service when needed.

• Good verbal communication skills to insure customer confidence

• Self-motivated

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in the automatic door field would be favourable;

• Good mechanical and electrical knowledge required

• Electrical qualification and registration preferable

• Analysing and troubleshooting skills to diagnose malfunctioning parts.

• Ability to build rapport with customers; handle complaints and provide solutions to meet customer satisfaction.

• Compliance with OH&S and other procedural requirements

• Communication skills and ability to work independently as well as with co-workers to complete time-sensitive projects. 

• Clean motor vehicle record

• Drivers license,

• Due to the nature of the sites we are responsible for, the suitable candidate will have to pass a drug, police and security clearance check.

Wage to be negotiated based on qualifications and experience.
