We are looking for an experienced nanny to work with our small, talented team. Pop-In Nanny Share provides a new and innovative approach to childcare and education in Melbourne, and has been growing rapidly since its inception only one year ago. We are seeking a committed and passionate educator to join our team, and to be matched with our families. The Nanny will be caring for up to four children, aged approx. 1-3 years old, in a family home setting, within Melbourne’s inner northern suburbs. Experience and qualifications in early childhood education is essential.
The Nanny will initially work Tuesdays, from 8am - 1:30pm, and Fridays, from 8am - 6pm, in Melbourne’s inner north, reporting to the business owner, and will have the option to take on additional nanny-share sessions.
The Nanny will be responsible for:

Implementing an early childhood program, aligned with Pop-In’s values, with up to 4 children within a family home

Actively building relationships with children and families engaged with the Pop-In Nanny Share program

Recording all children’s hours of attendance during their nanny share sessions

Using documentation tools (photos, written records etc) to communicate with parents about their children’s involvement in the daily program

Ensuring their safety requirements, such as First Aid and Working With Children Check, are up to date
-
Undertaking paid orientation sessions with new families as needed, in addition to weekly sessions

Attending team planning meetings, and contributing to program decisions

Drawing on their experience and knowledge of working with children in an education setting
-
Maintaining the highest standard of care

Supervising the children in their care at all times, ensuring their wellbeing and safety
-
Recognising and responding to the needs of children at their different stages of development
-
Treating all children with dignity and respect
Successful applicants must have:
-
Relevant tertiary qualifications, with a Diploma Of Early Childhood Education or higher
-
A minimum of 5 years experience caring for and educating children
-
A strong pedagogical knowledge, with a solid understanding of child psychology, stages of development and the Early Years Learning Framework

A current Australian First Aid and CPR Certificate
-
A current Working with Children Check
-
A current National Police check
-
Their own car, current driver’s license, up to date car insurance, and safe driving history
-
Be an Australian resident, or hold a current work visa for Australia

Fluent in spoken and written English

Reliable, honest, and trustworthy

Excellent punctuality and time-management
-
Physical ability to care for young children, and the energy to match

Ability to plan, organize, and multitask with minimal supervision
