JOB DESCRIPTION:
Unimet Security provides one of the most unique employment experiences This interesting and challenging role is providing a highly visible, proactive security presence and contributing to a safe, secure and friendly environment for staff and the general public. Working a rotating 24/7 shift pattern, Security Officers are expected to maintain a professional and engaging service presence that responds to emergency situations and ensures visitors, patrons and staff feel safe in the work environment.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
1. Demonstrated comprehensive security experience (including operational security, crowd control, search and control room operational duties) in a contemporary, high profile and 24/7 operational security (or related) environment, ideally characterised by high levels of public visitation and constantly changing operational activity.
2. Current possession of the following essential licence and certificates - Class 1 AC Security Licence; Senior First Aid Certificate; NSW 1C drivers licence.
3. Proven capability to respond to a range of security incidents; provide security services within heightened levels of threat; and liaise with outside security agencies and emergency services.
4. Well developed observation, investigation and analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret complex and emergency situations, coordinate people and remain calm under pressure.
5. Ability to meet physical fitness standards in accordance with Unimet Security policy.
6. Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation and conflict resolution skills; and sound written communication skills including experience in incident reporting.
7. Demonstrated strong commitment to and/or experience in working collaboratively within a small team environment and rotating 24 hour / 7 day fostered shift work pattern.
