TRAINEESHIP DETAILS
This field based trainee role is an opportunity for on the job training with our fantastic Team combined with self paced study to achieve a Certificate II in Fire Protection, Inspection and Testing. Assessments will be undertaken with the Fire Protection Association of Australia.
The traineeship is on offer for a period of about 12 months and suitable candidates will be considered for a Fire Service Technician role following successful achievement of the Certificate.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Due to the nature of the role, trainees need to be physically fit and able to lift and carry portable fire extinguishers and be prepared to work at various sites during the working week.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate through their prior work history that they are reliable and motivated, together with the following:
- Ability to work well unsupervised and in a team environment;
- Good level of physical fitness to be able to lift and carry portable fire extinguishers;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Good time management and organisational skills;
- Current drivers licence with ability to drive a manual vehicle;
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and safe work practices.
