BOILERMAKER

Shephard Transport Equipment is one of Queensland's leading suppliers of tipper bodies and trailers in the heavy transport industry. Proudly Australian with over 38 years in the business.

STE have an outstanding opportunity for a focused and energetic Boilermakers.

We have openings for Boilermakers in our Steel body section.

About the role:

• To fabricate and weld steel and aluminium tipper bodies
• Be able to take direction from the leading hand
• Be able to work autonomously
• Use attention to detail to meet high quality standards
• Be responsible for ensuring jobs are completed on time and to a high standard.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, management and team.

Job Requirements:

• Relevant Trade Certificate essential – will be required prior to starting
• Strong knowledge and experience in transport equipment is an advantage
• The ability to read and understand basic drawings are an advantage
• Strong problem solving skills are an advantage
• Good written and verbal communication skills are beneficial
• Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and problem solve
• Capable time management skills
• Strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
• Safety conscious in all aspects, competent application of WHS practises
• A forklift license will be favoured

You must have:

• Driver's License + own transport
• Steel capped boots
• Hi-vis shirt
• Own tools

BEST PAY RATE IN THE INDUSTRY + BONUS

Monday-Friday 6am-2.30pm + Overtime as required

Will lead to a full time position for the right candidate
