Tecside Group’s Brisbane office are seeking a Workshop Assistant interested in an ongoing opportunity based in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. Working on a range of fixed plant and equipment for the mining industry, this role will require a candidate with high mechanical aptitude and recent experience in a similar role or as a trade assistant to mechanical trades

To be successful you must have proven recent experience and capable of the following duties:

Assist with maintenance and repair or complex machinery and equipment as required.
Assist with the management of tools and equipment on the workshop floor.
Operate plant and machinery as required.
Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner.
Perform manual tasks associated with maintenance and repairs as required, whilst adhering to safe work practices.

To be eligible the role you must be able to comply with the following requirements:

Have appropriate PPE (i.e. trousers, long sleeve hi-vis, hard hat and steel capped boots)
Current high-risk forklift ticket.
Current licence and reliable transport.
A great work ethic and reliable attitude.
A high standard of safe work practices.
