The role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our professional team in Brisbane.

The technician will, as part of a team, provide technical service, ongoing support and maintenance of the tolling systems.

You will be actively involved in preparing, monitoring and executing the preventative and routine maintenance of the equipment. You will also undertake fault diagnosis, repair, installation and enhancements to all toll collection equipment which includes the documentation of fault reports and repairs.

Your tasks will involve:

  • Identification and permanent rectification of equipment faults;
  • Meet & exceed Service Level Agreements (SLA's);
  • 24 hour on call for up to 2 weeks on shared roster;
  • Documentation and maintenance of product manuals plus records of associated malfunctions; and
  • Ensure all relevant standards are adhered to in relation to Quality, Engineering, OH & S and Electrical.

About you

You will be expected to utilise your previous knowledge and fault finding skills in the maintenance of electronic tolling equipment. Training will be provided on the specialised equipment and maintenance tasks will be assigned to you once you are familiar with the supported systems.

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

  • Qualified as an electrician or with a minimum of a Restricted Electrical Licence;
  • Good understanding of computer hardware for repair and analysis of faulty parts;
  • Superior fault finding skills;
  • Ability to manage a system via command line interface;
  • Competent IT user, Microsoft suite, Windows & general network configuration;
  • General knowledge of Electrical, and OH & S Standards;
  • A self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and an excellent safety record;
  • Able to work at heights; and
  • A current Australian drivers licence is mandatory.
