National Transport Company requires a Truck / Tanker Washbay Manager for their Perth Depot.

Reporting to the Tanker Operations Manager, the Truck / Tanker Washbay Manager is responsible for managing washbay personnel and activities for Perth operations whilst ensuring compliance with quality and food safety standards at all times.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Ensure that bulk liquid tankers are cleaned in accordance with food safety and HACCP standards
  • Ensure that company fleet are cleaned to the highest standard to maintain the professional presentation and appearance of all vehicles
  • Be first point of contact for all washbay matters and coordinate planning of truck and tanker cleaning in conjunction with operations personnel
  • Effectively manage all washbay personnel and daily activities within the washbay
  • Review and analyse washbay KPI's to facilitate changes and improvements
  • Ensure all tasks and activities within the Washbay are completed in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ensure the accurate completion of paperwork associated with the washbay

    The successful applicant will need to:

  • Have previous experience with food grade product and HACCP and understand food safety and quality standards, requirement and responsibilities
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience with the ability to lead and motivate the team to achieve results
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and multi task
  • Meet strict deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Motivated and positive attitude
  • Good interpersonal skills including consultation and negotiation skills
  • Commitment to ensuring a safe working environment
  • Computer and other administrative skills

    Experience in a similar position will be highly regarded.

    Company uniformed supplied, permanent, full time position (some weekend work will be required)

    It would be advantageous if you possess a forklift license, truck license and confined space training.
