Serco is currently seeking an Asset Supervisor to join the team at the Melbourne Immigration Transit accommodation (MITA) based in Broadmeadows, Victoria. This is a fulltime position working Monday – Friday which will have an on-call requirement (rotating roster) with the on call phone. This role reports to the Asset Manager.

The successful candidate will oversee subcontractors and services involved in the delivery of facilities management and project  management  services  that  support  the  delivery  of  our  Contractual  related  provisions to our customers. You will also liaise with local suppliers and stakeholders, manage work orders for reactive and preventative maintenance and have a strong admin focus.

Key results areas:

• Service standards and delivery - Provide the day-to-day  direction,  coordination  and  supervision  of subcontractors  and  services  that support  the  delivery  of  our  Contractual  related  provisions. Also identifying and providing input to the Asset Manager to improve the service deliverables in accordance with the Contract.
• Operational Effectiveness - Achieving (meeting) the delegated service delivery expectations and targets of Serco, the Customer and legislative requirements. Learning and properly performing aspects of the Facility Maintenance administration duties on a daily basis  to  ensure  a complete understanding of requirements for Work Order, Capital works and other relevant documentation required of the Facility Maintenance process
• Safety - Ensuring the effective management and achievement of all related WH&S, Environmental and Quality issues and all KPI

Qualifications & Experience required:

• Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in maintenance management, facilities management or business management

• Trade qualifications or relevant experience in related trade associated disciplines
• Demonstrated experience in an Asset or Facilities management and Maintenance environment
• Strong background in supervision of subcontractors and achieving service outcomes
• Experience supervising a multidiscipline and diverse work force successfully with the ability to lead, motivate and drive change
• High level of interpersonal skills and effective communication skills with all levels of seniority
• High level of knowledge in the Windows suite
• Strong understanding and commitment to HSE Standards
• Desirable skills/knowledge within building legislative compliance
• Supervisory skills in team management and skill development
• Skills / Experience with technical problem solving
• Knowledge of essential services within facilities
• Supervisory Experience with OHS&E and associated Permits used with EWP& HRW

Requirements:

• Ability to maintain an Australian Federal Police clearance
• Working with Children clearance
• Current Australian Full Driver’s License
