We are currently seeking to appoint a Early Years Educator to become a part of our Remote Area Families Service (RAFS) on a Full time Basis. This Role will predominantly be based out of Longreach with regular outreach throughout the remote areas of the region.
Our Program:
RAFS is a mobile early education service, focused on the delivery of good quality early years education, care and family support. The focus of the service is directed to families with children from birth to 5 years of age who, due to their geographical location, or other identified need, are unable to access mainstream early childhood services.
The Role:
In this role you will travel to remote areas to provide early learning sessions and support. This may include playgroups, home visits, parenting support, toy library and parent resource library, information and referral. This role will see you actively engage, assess and develop educational programs and materials using the Early Years Learning Framework to enhance the development of the children in a safe and caring environment.
About You:
You will have a genuine passion for working with families to implement early childhood development programs while providing support to and strengthening the family unit. Supplementing this you will have, or be working towards, a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or similar, a driver’s license, current Senior First Aid/CPR and a working with children blue card (or the ability to obtain). Previous experience working inclusively with or as a part of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community would be highly regarded.
