Pacific Food Machinery P/L is an Australian owned manufacturer that prides itself on its customer service. We now have a vacancy for a mechanically minded person to join our team.

THE ROLE

• Repair and refurbish all mechanical systems used in food processing equipment
• Repair and rebuilding of electric motors and gear boxes
• Provide some breakdown maintenance for all plant in a meat processing factory that employs over 150 people
• Assemble and test new food processing machinery
• Note that this is industrial work - NOT domestic, commercial or mining

YOUR PROFILE

• Must have mechanical knowledge
• Experienced in rebuilding electric motors and gear boxes
• Experienced with maintaining food industry machinery
• Experience in TIG Welding preferred but not essential
• Flexible + reliable self starter
• Previous experience in a similar environment is desirable
• Able to work unsupervised
• Must be physically fit
• Flexible with hours
• Available Monday – Friday (some weekend work)
• A motivated, positive with a "can-do attitude" person
• Good communication skills, written and verbal
• Reliable, Punctual and hardworking
• Have safety awareness
• High level of attention to detail
• Show's initiative and can multitask
• Must be willing to learn
