We have the excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical fitter for a permanent role after a qualifying period. Our client is a leading and well-established manufacturer producing insulated panel and they are currently seeking an experienced fitter.
Must be in a position to start ASAP and be aware there are a number of processes to complete, which requires your full co-operation to co-ordinate and include items such as an interview with Tecside, validation of experience and potential interview with the client.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to): -
- Attend to breakdown, repair and preventative maintenance activities for Production machinery and site equipment
- Identify the route cause analysis and fault findings
- Implementing repair actions to minimise downtime, improve reliability and maximise overall efficiency
- Manage inventory of spare parts
- Running workshop activities autonomously with assistance from the site leader
- Competent in MIG welding
- Good communication skills
- Strong commitment to Workplace Health & Safety
- Australian work rights
To be eligible for the role you must have the following skills/experience: -
- Experience as a fitter in a manufacturing environment at least 2 years
- Experience with breakdowns
- Strong problem solving, analytical skills
- Ability to travel Nationally
- Police Check
- You must be able to pass a Pre-Employment medical which included a Drug and Alcohol screen - candidates not confident in passing need not apply
Desirable Tickets-
- EWP ticket. preferred but not essential
- Forklift license. preferred but not essential
- Electrical test and tag certification. preferred but not essential
