Our Rockhampton Service team has opportunities available for Fitters to join our team on a permanent basis!
This role is designed to provide mechanical service and support to our OEM Equipment during planned shut-down days. This will include inspections, testing and analysis of the equipment performance, planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs. The role will also carry out some component rebuild work in the branch workshop. It is essential all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company and site requirements and will require the completion of a range of documentation.
Ideally to be considered you will have:-
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and customer service orientation
- Proactive attitude with the ability to build and develop relationships with a range of people
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team
- Current drivers' license
- Mechanical Fitter trade, ideally with experience in fixed plant equipment
- Ability and willingness to travel (and stay overnight). Travel may include interstate.
- Demonstrated experience in a process plant environment or heavy industry
- Prepared to work in confined spaces and heights – physically fit to work within plant environment which includes climbing access stairs with tool/equipment.
- Computer skills, Word, Excel and Report Writing highly desirable
Qld mine site specific inductions are desirable.
